Who can apply?
Entrepreneurs who have an innovative business plan with the potential of reaching multiple international markets. The ideal candidate is a high potential entrepreneur with an idea that:1) is in its final development stages or already developed;
2) the project has the potential of bringing disruptive technology into its industry or the global market; and
3) presents clear opportunities of sales, growth, and profits.
What does it finance?
- Human Resources: salaries of employees and of other professionals associated with the project's activities, and others.- Operational expenses directly associated to the project execution: administrative and office expenses, supplies, housing, insurances, promotion, flight tickets, and others.
- Investments: acquisition of fixed assets, technological equipment, computers, investments directly related with the project, and others.
How much does it finance?
Start-Up Chile covers up to 90% of the project's budget, with the restriction that this amount does not exceed $20 million pesos (approximately $40,000 dollars). The extra 10% must be committed by the selected entrepreneur. The grant is non refundable.
